Edmund Barton is an international artist producing artwork covering a vast range of subject matter and styles. Based in Gordons Bay near Cape Town in South Africa he operates his own galleries and most of his works are commissions. On the following pages you will see a cross section of paintings for sale and the artist welcomes commissions on any of the subjects shown.

He is just as accomplished in painting either wildlife, landscape or sea scenes to doing large murals on tiles or completing golf course or industrial paintings such as petrochemical plants.

The artist has completed artwork for many of South Africa’s hotels and businesses and the names of these leading clients are listed throughout the site. His work of historic buildings is recorded in the African Museum and for a number of years Edmund painted for the world famous Saint Geran Hotel in Mauritius. It was here that he did a painting of the rare birds of this island presented by Sun International to the Mauritian Government. Recently he was chosen to complete a large painting for the Nelson Mandela medical school at Durban University depicting their aids research and including a portrait of the former president.
